Reduce…Reuse…Recycle…The newly named area called ReUse District is having a kick-off event Saturday called ReFest, with workshops, music, a film screening and a pub crawl.

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Reduce...Reuse...RecycleReduce…Reuse…Recycle…How many times have we heard this over the years? Many many times! Well now we have an area where we can go to in the New Orleans area.  A collection of more than 20 businesses and non-profits in the St. Claude/St. Roch and Bywater/Marigny area have salvage depots such as the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Preservation Resource Center’s salvage store and also retail shops that trade in used items. These venues will make it easier for those of us who would truly like to reuse/recycle to do so. If you are requesting something specific and the store you are in doesn’t have it they will suggest another store who might – making it easier than ever to hunt down that one-of-a-kind item!
